Systems Engineer, Workday
 
The Systems Engineer, Workday will be a key member of the centralized Workday technical team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, IT Applications, this role will own full systems support, from data integrity to systems configuration in the following areas: HCM, Financials and IT.
 
Position Qualifications/Essential Functions:
  • Own Workday system configuration, administration, maintenance, system upgrades and integrations.
  • Identify opportunities to increase efficiencies and implement automation of business workflows and processes
  • Lead implementation of future Workday modules (Advanced Compensation, Account Provisioning, Financial Planning)
  • Provide technical designs of Workday Security matrix, Security groups and resolve any application security related issues.
  • Provide technical designs of Workday custom integrations including EIB, XSLT data transformation, custom API, XML/JSON output files and Studio development
  • Identify bugs, defects and drive continuous process improvement across all system platforms via integrations with 3rd party systems
  • Own Workday Business Intelligence dashboards, reports (Advanced, Matrix and Composite) and visualization of data, on a scheduled or on-demand basis
  • Ensure data integrity and help maintain WD as a single source of truth on all employee and financial data
  • Partner with stakeholders within HR, IT, FP&A, Payroll, and Legal to provide creative and efficient solutions to business needs
  • Own SOX compliance, reporting, data entry and quarterly/annual audits
  • Own Workday project user acceptance testing (UAT) design, and partner as needed with training, change management and user adoption team.
  • Own Workday bi-annual new feature releases and necessary implementation
 
Education/Experience:
  • Extensive experience owning/having a lead role on ERP systems, including at least five (5) years on Workday
  • Extensive experience with ERP web service integrations (SOAP API, REST API, WSDL, XML), Workday Cloud connect, and EIB 
  • Experience with Workday’s configurable security, Core HCM Business Processes, Alerts and Notifications framework
  • Experience with Active Directory and Identity Providers such as Azure, Okta or Google and Workday Account Provisioning
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Cross-functional collaboration experience developing and implementing technical solutions to improve efficiencies and performance
  • Knack for forming productive working relationships in a matrixed organization
  • Positive attitude and comfort with ambiguity
  • Bias toward action, with a can-do approach to shifting priorities in a constantly-changing environment
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft applications
 
Special Knowledge, Skills, and Demonstrated Attributes:
  • Development of dashboards using WD Discovery Boards and VIBE
  • Jobvite, ADP or other system administration
  • Experience with Jira issue tracking software is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, IT or a related field from an accredited college or university
 
 
Compensation:  $120k – $140k/annual salary & bonus eligible (national average, premium markets may vary)
