Position Overview

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of technical expertise, domain knowledge in healthcare, and a passion for leveraging data to make a positive impact. As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, you will play a key role in ingesting, analyzing, and modeling complex healthcare data to deliver valuable insights to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ingest and integrate data from various sources, including electronic health records, medical claims, and more.

  • Design and implement robust data pipelines using tools such as Apache Airflow and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.

  • Develop and deploy machine learning models to extract meaningful patterns and insights from healthcare data using Vertex AI among other tools.

  • Work closely with medical practitioners, researchers, and other stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into actionable solutions.

  • Build scalable and interpretable models that facilitate decision-making and drive innovation in healthcare delivery.

  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and healthcare technology to continuously improve our analytics capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Physics, or a related field with at least 1 year of relevant experience OR Bachelor’s/Master’s degree with at least 5 years of experience in data science or a related field.

  • Strong proficiency in machine learning techniques, statistical analysis, and data visualization.

  • Hands-on experience with building and deploying data pipelines using Apache Airflow, GCP, or similar technologies.

  • Deep understanding of healthcare data, including electronic health records, medical imaging, and clinical trials.

  • Excellent programming skills in languages such as SQL and Python with experience in working with large-scale datasets.

  • Proven track record of delivering impactful data-driven solutions in a collaborative environment.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Compensation:  $127k-$215k/annual salary (national average, premium markets may vary)
